The Lola Quilt

This is a very very basic quilt that I have made for my daughter. I just made many 6.5" squares, heaps of prints, and sewed them all together with no rhyme nor reason. This is a single bed size, and is 9 squares across and 14 squares long.

The quilting took AGES, I did the entire thing freehand and it kinda drove me batty. I am glad that I have a big machine, I dont know how I could have done it in a little domestic machine - there is just so much fabric!

I used these instructions to bind the quilt completely by machine. I am never binding the 'real' way again!!

Anyway, this is my first attempt at making a quilt. I think Im going to make some more!

The Lola Quilt layed out, on a double bed though. I cant wait to get her new bed now!
My beautiful machine. I think I will marry it.
And just so she knows it is hers forever :)
